Suitable for standalone use, host interfacing, PC tethering, and educational purposes, TIMI-MB features a 0.96” TFT LCD display driven by a PIXXI-28 graphics processor from 4D Labs. Its mikroBUS interface allows easy integration into any compatible board.

TIMI-MB Features

TIMI’s main interface is a 3.3V level Asynchronous Serial UART and features 3 GPIO which can be used as Digital or Analog inputs, Digital Outputs, Master I2C Communication or PWM Audio output. These interfaces arm TIMI with resources to be either a stand-alone controller, a Host driven slave, or a tethered test instrument while being capable of interfacing and powering external devices themselves.

mikroBUS Compatible

TIMI-MB utilises the mikroBUS interface, which is a unique interface pinout designed to be simple and easy to use.

The microBUS consists of two rows of 8 pins, 0.1” (2.54mm) pitch, spaced 0.9” (22.86mm) apart. Please refer to the Mikroelektronika mikroBUS Standard. The TIMI-MB has 16 physical pins, 8 on each side of the microBUS interface. The TIMI-MB does not use all the pins in the microBUS except the UART and reset.

The TIMI-MB can be orientated in any of its four positions, Portrait, Landscape, Portrait Reversed, and Landscape Reversed, and is defined using the Mates Studio IDE.
