• Team Solarium, a group of Indian undergraduate engineering students, are developing a solar electric vehicle for the ESVC3000, Asia's largest Electric Solar Vehicle Championship, using 4D SYSTEMS' display unit SK-GEN4-43DCT-CLB. Chosen for its low power, lightweight properties, and user-friendly interface, this display will enable easy driver interaction and integration with the vehicle's CAN bus. Located on the dashboard behind the steering wheel, the display will help the driver monitor key vehicle parameters. Their ultimate ambition is to compete in the World Solar Challenge, highlighting their commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions in transportation.

  • iX Energy, a provider of intelligent mobility solutions based in New Delhi, India, partnered with 4D Systems to source a high-quality LCD display for their vehicle conversion kits, which transform conventional vehicles into electric or hybrid ones. Given iX Energy's need for a cost-effective and quickly implementable solution, 4D Systems recommended an off-the-shelf LCD product - the GEN4-ULCD-50DCT-CLB. This unit offers high-quality visuals, aesthetic appeal, and compatibility with iX Energy's retrofitted vehicles. While the display unit has not yet reached the final stage of production, the iX Energy team is confident that it will integrate seamlessly with the vehicles, providing important parameters and guidelines to the driver during vehicle operation.

  • Rennteam Stuttgart, the University of Stuttgart’s combustion team that holds the 1st place world ranking in the international Formula Student design competition, has successfully implemented an improved driver display system with the help of 4D Systems. Bora Özgen, a member of Rennteam’s electronic team, chose 4D System’s gen4-4DCAPE-50CT-SB as their LCD display unit due to its compatibility with their main display control unit, the BeagleBone Black. The display shows crucial sensor data, helping to improve vehicle performance and prevent damage. The upgrade simplified programming, increased flexibility for developers, and enhanced the display's responsiveness. The display's integration resulted in positive feedback from drivers and aims to assist the team in defending their world ranking.
