DIABLO-16 – Graphics Powerhouse

The gen4-uLCD Series is powered by the DIABLO-16 Processor, among the most powerful embedded graphics processors, offering exceptional power, FLASH memory, RAM, and advanced features. It’s a custom 4DGL graphics controller for OLED and LCDs with built-in graphics, text, image, and animation capabilities. Powered by the EVE (Extensible Virtual Engine), it efficiently runs 4DGL programs. It supports interfaces like SPI, I²C, and serial, providing features such as PWM, Quadrature, and a PWM audio output for WAV files and sound generation.

Multiple display sizes

The 4D Systems gen4-uLCD Series offers sever display sizes ranging from 2.4″ to 7.0″, with resolutions from 240×320 to 800×480 pixels. These displays are available with standard or wide viewing angle, high brightness, and support both portrait and landscape modes, providing versatile options for creating user-friendly graphical interfaces in various embedded applications.

Touch Panel Options

Each 4D Systems gen4-uLCD model is available in four touch panel options: without touch, without touch with cover lens bezel (CLB), resistive touch, capacitive touch, and capacitive touch with cover lens bezel (CLB). The cover lense bezel can be customised on request, with a different colour or shape. These choices enable customised user interfaces, offering accurate input and seamless interaction across various application needs.

Easy UI Development

Workshop4 is a comprehensive IDE tailored for the 4D Systems graphics processors. It offers multiple development environments—Designer, ViSi, ViSi-Genie, and Serial—to accommodate different project requirements. Workshop4 enables the rapid creation of advanced graphical user interfaces with support for touch input and multimedia features. Its drag-and-drop interface and extensive widget libraries simplify UI design, while the integrated 4DGL programming language allows for detailed control and customization. This software streamlines the development process, facilitating seamless integration of microLCD displays into embedded systems and enhancing overall application functionality.
